Our delighted Bride of the Month winner pictured this month is Kate Hinsby from Cambridge, with fiancé Mat Harrison, receiving Gift Certificates from Vivien Brown of Astarte Brides in Ely, where Kate entered The Wedding Guide's competition.

Kate, a Sales & Customer Services for Tribal Educational Services in Cambridge, met Mat, Head Pastry Chef at Jesus College, Cambridge, at The King's Street Run where Kate does some part-time work. She spotted him with a friend on lunch-break whilst she was clearing tables; got chatting and were friends for a long time before going out as a couple and have been together for some six years.

Mat proposed at home on Christmas Eve; Kate hoped he might propose but still surprised and delighted when he did, promptly burst into tears, but did manage to say "yes". As they were working that night, they celebrated properly on Christmas Day and then with both sets of parents at Great Shelford where they all live.

They are planning a Church Wedding at Great Shelford in May 2013 followed by a marquee reception at Kate's parents' home. Kate will be attended by her best friend Helen as Maid of Honour, and Mia, Mat's daughter, plus five other bridesmaids and they hope to honeymoon in the Dordoyne.

Lovely Bride-to-Be, Rachael Emmerson, from Norwich, a Support Worker for adults with disabilities at Heritage Care, is pictured with fiancé Aaron Wilde, a self-employed carpenter in Norwich, receiving Gift Certificates from Denise Holmes of Prima Donna, where Rachael entered the competition and is buying her dress.
They met at Clacton Holiday Park when Rachael had finished her GCSEs so celebrating with friend Jemma who was going out with Aaron's friend. Rachael and Aaron got chatting and really got on and four weeks later Aaron plucked up courage to ask Rachael out and they have now been together for nearly five years. Aaron proposed to Rachael on a skiing holiday in Andorra, on too of a mountain, down on one knee. Rachael told us she was totally gobsmacked but it was too cold to cry so she started dancing about and said "yes".
They will be married in July 2013 with a civil ceremony and reception at Caistor Hall Hotel with four bridesmaids and a flowergirl. Aaron will be attended by his Best Man, Johnnie, his best friend from school and like a brother, and four groomsmen. They will go on honeymoon six months later to Norway to see the Northern Lights and go dog sledging
